6-speed manual transmission, with under 42,000 miles. It has every option that was available, plus numerous upgrades to the suspension, brakes, shifter, cooling and audio systems. I love the color – a one-year-only burgundy with aluminum-oxide flakes under a special tinted clear-coat, complemented by a special Shale interior. It’s the quintessential “little old lady” car. The 70-year-old gentleman we bought it from bought it in 2014 from an 87-year-old woman who bought it new and even paid $350 extra to take delivery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The car’s history and maintenance are well-documented.

This 1962 Corvette has a very strong 350 crate engine #14016879 with stamp V3262800 and 1978 Corvette Heads #462624, original Carter 4 barrel carb (#3460S), original high rise intake manifold #3844461, and original distributor. The generator has been replaced with newer alternator. Original Borg Warner T-10 four speed transmission and shifter, original valve covers and hub caps. Car came equipped with soft top and is in good shape. Has correct air cleaner and ignition shielding in place. Interior is in very good shape, dash pad and carpet were replaced within the last 3 years and look as good as new. Replacement seat belts, door panels - original and clean - original steering wheel, AM/FM cassette. All gauges work except tach. The paint is old but still shines better than some new cars and is a definite head turner to be enjoyed and appreciated for years to come.
